FAQs

General Questions:

  • I run a concierge, cash-based practice in Rocklin, CA. That means every session is one-on-one, focused entirely on you, with no insurance restrictions. I blend physical therapy, strength training, and movement coaching to help you recover, perform, and thrive.

  • I offer in-person physical therapy, online coaching & rehab, and in-person longevity sessions. Each option is designed to meet you where you’re at—whether that’s recovering from pain, building strength, or staying consistent long-term. Find out more here.

  • I work with clients online as well as in-person at The Rising Zone (TRZ) in Rocklin, CA, a unique facility that integrates wellness, movement, and community.

  • No, Equinox Physical Therapy & Wellness P.C. is a cash-based practice and I do not bill insurance directly. (See below for more details about why.)

Physical Therapy Related Questions:

  • I specialize in treating all orthopedic injuries and chronic pain. My approach also includes gait retraining, breathwork, foot mechanics, and performance optimization for athletes.

  • Nope! In California, we have direct access, meaning you can see a physical therapist without a physician's referral. However, if your insurance requires a referral for reimbursement, I recommend checking with your provider.

  • Initial evaluations are 60-75 minutes, and follow-up sessions are 60 minutes. This allows ample time for a comprehensive assessment and personalized care plan.

  • I don’t follow cookie-cutter protocols. I spend the entire session with you, looking at the whole system: strength, mobility, breath, and lifestyle. My goal isn’t just to get rid of pain, but to build lasting resilience so you can move with confidence.

  • Yes! Many of my clients come to me for prevention, performance, or general strength and wellness. Once we’ve resolved pain, many people continue into longevity sessions or coaching for ongoing support.

Insurance & Pricing Questions:

  • I don’t bill insurance. This allows me to give you longer, one-on-one sessions where I get to know YOU and find the root cause, without the restrictions of insurance rules. Instead, you get care that’s tailored to your goals, not a generic program dictated by coverage.

  • Yes! I accept HSA/FSA cards for physical therapy sessions as long as they are issued by one of the major card brands (Visa, Discover, Mastercard, or Amex).

Online Coaching Questions:

  • We start with an evaluation (virtual or in-person), then I build a customized program for you. You’ll get new training blocks as you progress, plus direct messaging and video feedback along the way.

  • Absolutely! Many people start with PT and then move into online coaching once they’re out of pain but want structure and accountability to keep building strength.

Preparing For Your Session:

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, athletic wear works best. Bring water and your training shoes if needed. If you’re coming from work, I have space for you to change before we start.

  • Bring any relevant medical documents, imaging reports, or notes from your physician if applicable. Also, bring water and be prepared to discuss your goals!
